Any Given Time
British born Jenny Bloomfield’s new series of paintings allude to notions of time and space. In the new work she uses line as a measure of time defining space: the space being atmospheres of light and airy color. Lines begin and end, spaces are contained, empty or interrupted. Bloomfield’s vocabulary is seemingly simple, but what is implied in these paintings is our participation in a complex drama and a territory of transition.
