“Tríodos” presents new sculpture by Oliver DiCicco and works on paper by Julian Hoenig in their third exhibition at 60SIX.

DiCicco’s new kinetic sculptures continue his series investigating magnetic resonance using feedback loops to excite spring steel rods. Works in this series shown at 60SIX in previous years were “Anemone and Orstead’s Flux Detector,” both interactive with the viewer. In his second exhibition of paintings and drawings at 60SIX Julian Hoenig presents new work, again utilizing unexpected materials such as vintage car drawing vellum, car paint on mulberry paper, and ink jet printing "en-masse" which explodes into abstractions. In materials and icons his work raises questions about man's relationship to technology.

Oliver DiCicco displays the versatility of a renaissance artist. He is a multi-talented designer who is at the same time sculptor, fabricator, scientist, engineer, and musician. The mix of playful curiosity, technical capability and aesthetic sensibility required to accomplish his broad range of work is astonishing.
